was mahalonobish a mason?this is a question which has plagued historians for long.for the uninitiatefd free mason is a secret society of extremely knowledgable and wealthy people who come together for the sake of well being of the people.while famous freemasons of india include people like · Sir Phirozeshah Mehta, Dadabhoy Nowroji Tata,Swami Vivekananda,W.C. Bannerjee,President Dr. Rajendra Prasad,Sir Dorabji Jamshedji Tata,· Pandit Motilal Nehru · J.R.D. Tata, rabindranath tagore in india and people like george washington, einstein, sir isac newton to barrack obama in recent times.if masonic tales are to be believed rabindranath tagore a learned and rich man himself said to mahalonobish toi set up isi.masonic touch can also be seen in the logo of isi.the square sized tablet is remnicent of the cueniform scripts and the big tree is a fallback of ancient masonic tenents of wisened knowledge.also if some body carefully sees the architectural pattern of both isi kolkata and delhi lot of subtle hint of wisdom from knowledge is to be seen.which brings to a more pertinent question.do we have a free mason living with us in isi?normally the person will be revered, soft in attitude ,a storehouse of knowledge yet humble and earthly in his quaint way.i already have a candidate in mind.do u have?please let me know via comments

ReplyDeleteHi Arghya, probably your food was not so tasty. You should consult the cooks of our mess.
ReplyDeleteCome on yaar! Don't weep! And if you are really eager to cry, please cry in English. That will gather more sympathy for you.
That was a nice piece but with regard to the fact that i want to raise some controversy couldn't find any appropriate name to instigate the people out here...... hehehe....(dont mind)
ReplyDelete@bipashadi yeah i should probably i should weep in english, but one of te main tenant of masonic philosophy is to go back to roots.so there i went.
ReplyDelete@nemo to instigate u i hv to perhaps say that we should have prohibition in delhi since ur not any small fry but dev(to be pronounced as deeenv) maine bola
Yup that is true but "KABI-GURU SHRI ARGHYA PRASUN ROY CHOWDHURY" probably this won't be enough to get me going.Let's say it will require something more out of the veritable bag of vocabulary that you cherish to display on rare occasions to those who are priviledged enough to get a glimpse of such an enigmatic feat.........

ReplyDelete@nemo: Not only the editor of eta-sheta-mix and its reader, but many poor fellows, who have a desire to appear in GRE next year, are also really grateful for Arghya's posts as these give a real preparation for English. So you please don't discourage him. "ALL OF US" is interested to get some "bags of vocabulary"
ReplyDeletearghya, i suspect that Dr. Rajendra Prasad is in really wrong company(not to insult others) here....his family/economic/societal background was just opposite of the others....
